Perdigó Engineering
Perdigó is an engineering firm specialised in the design, calculation and legalisation of pressure vessels and pressurised installations. We also perform customised engineering studies related with mechanical and FEA / CFD engineering. Our diverse client portfolio includes manufacturers of pressure vessels, facility installers, facility end users and producers of mechanical devices.

Regulatory Compliance
We stay up to date with the latest regulations and standards, including the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, Pressure Equipment Regulation – Royal Decree 809/2021, and other design codes such as ASME, EN 13445, and AD Merkblatt. We ensure that all equipment meets the highest quality and safety standards.
Mechanical Engineering
Our strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles allows us to perform stress analyses, material assessments, and fatigue analyses to ensure the structural integrity of an equipment or component.

With over 70 years of hands-on expertise, we’ve successfully completed a multitude of technical projects, continually expanding our know-how. Our extensive experience empowers us to handle any challenge, drawing from a rich pool of projects to meet any situation.
Finite Element Analysis ANSYS SOFTWARE
We use Structural analysis to assess equipment and components under various loading conditions, enabling us to create robust and safe designs. This includes detailed Thermal and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses.
Our Roots and Evolution
The history of Perdigó began in the 1950s in Barcelona, when Manuel Perdigó Grimau, an industrial surveyor, began designing and calculating pressure equipment for the main boiler making companies in the region.
In 1977, he was joined by his son, Josep Maria Perdigó, industrial engineer. Together they managed to gradually turn Perdigó into a brand of excellence and recognised reputation in many industries, such as food, textile, chemicals, oil&gas and pharmaceuticals. Josep Maria has the ASME Certification and the accreditation of European Engineer. He belongs to the College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia and presently holds the position of Technical Secretary of the Catalan Pressure Equipment Association, where he is responsible for providing guidance to member companies and organising annual technical conferences for the community.
In 2021 new members joined the team and Perdigó Engineering was born as a company. To remain at the forefront of innovation, cutting-edge technologies such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), new skill sets and advanced working methodologies were adopted. In this new era, we are able to perform mechanical calculations for complex equipment, as well as detailed structural, thermal and fluidic studies for mechanical design development.
